Reading Reflection #12

FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

Shooting in the open field gives this photo its personality. The setting adds a rustic feel that makes the family seem cozier which makes a family picture that much more special. This picture inspires me to find a variety of settings when shooting my photos.
What struck me most about this picture is the pure candidness of the moment. Their poses are completely natural and that is what makes this picture that much more impactful. No one is perfect, so no natural family photograph will be perfect.
I was drawn to this picture because of the composition. I like that it is in black and white and the lighting is from behind to where the focus is on the pose that unites the family instead of the individuals themselves. Poses aren't always this successful but i like this one.
