Reading Reflection #3

By:  Megan Edlin

Picture of a winding country road in Munnar, India

Reason why you selected it:  I love this picture because it is very rural and I love the country and dirt roads and it really shows that well.

How it can this photo potentially inspire one of your photographs?: This picture inspires me to photograph what I love, like the country.

What has changed or been strengthened in your idea of what makes a good landscape photograph?  The lighting in the photo is amazing and I also like the rolling hills in the fog in the background so, depth and lighting are two key elements in a landscape photograph

Reading Reflection #2

Little boy by Nineea

I like this photo a lot because it captures the essence of a child just by capturing his face and part of his upper body.
Capturing moments and emotions like this is important in photography.
From now on i will strive to capture what others take for granted, like the joy of a beautiful child.

Reading reflection #1

John Tlumacki Soldiers

I like this picture because I can relate to this little boy because my dad was recently deployed to Afghanistan.
From the reading I did, I've learned that a good photo is supposed to make the viewer feel emotion.
From now on I will take photos that make me feel emotion, and that way, my viewers will also feel that emotion or some of their own.
